Johnson County Developmental Supports will be hosting virtual job interviews from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12 for job seekers interested in joining our team as direct support professionals.
Experience is preferred but not required. We provide on-the-job training for new hires in addition to continuing education and continuing education.

Direct support professionals play a crucial role in supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their quest to live and work in the community rather than in an institutional setting.
Depending on where they work, direct support professionals perform a multitude of tasks, including personal care, professional coaching, appropriate medical/physical care, behavioral counseling, skills teaching, help with household chores and much more.
JCDS currently has several professional openings in direct support in the following programs:
- Residential (evening, night and weekend shifts)
- Day services (first shift – evening/weekend hours may sometimes be required)
