Galal, who takes charge of a national team for the first time, has become one of the best coaches of recent years, after his remarkable performance with Maqassa from 2014 to 2017, and his coaching of Cairo giants Zamalek.

The 54-year-old joined Pyramids FC at the start of the current season, achieving good results with the club, as they sit third in the domestic league table and reached the European Cup knockout stage. the African Confederation.

Galal was shortlisted for national team coach in 2019 but Hossam El-Badry was appointed at the time instead.

The next mission for the national team will be the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which will take place from May 30 to June 14, 2022, which means that Galal’s first mission will take place in less than two months.

The CAN qualifiers draw will be hosted by South Africa on April 19, which will determine the Egyptian group.
